Fallen Too Far (Fallen Too Far #1) by Abbi Glines

Fallen Too Far (Fallen Too Far #1)

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

At first I only tried to see what Fallen Too Far is all about, but as I read it I grew to like it until I couldn't stop reading it. Book got me hooked! especially with the plot and characters! gotta love Blaire and Rush together!

Blaire, I love her! especially when she defended her mothers honor. I feel sad for her story though really really sad. She just made me cry at the end of the book. :( Love her tough girl attitude though. Girl with a gun. *whew* Definitely not someone you want to mess with. Like someone in the book did. *ahem...ahemNANahem...ahem* reminds me what happened with Grant at the first part of the book when Blaire thought he was someone bad LOL! :)))

Rush, well at first I really didn't like him that much at all. especially with that bully like attitude he showed to Blaire in the first few chapters. But then he shows a soft spot forBlaire and woohoo definitely okay! :))) sad part thought was when he kept pushing Blaire away :( but then again once his reasons are finally revealed...kinda understood why he did so :( Feel sorry for him at the end though :( should have told Blaire everything :(

Definitely a sad, beautiful, yet tragic love story that left me wanting for more. to know what would happen to Blaire and Rush's story in the end :( *queue music* :))) hehehe once again I fall for one more of Abbi Glines books! Awesome! :)))

Since, it's been so long since i last posted my swoons I placed a lot of swoons in this post. <3>

SHATTER ME by Tahereh Mafi
He’s running his hands down my body running his eyes across my face running laps with his heart and I’m running marathons with my mind.
Everything is on fire. My cheeks my hands the pit of my stomach and I’m drowning in waves of emotion and a storm of fresh rain and all I feel is the strength of his silhouette against mine and I never ever ever ever want to forget this moment. I want to stamp him into my skin and save him forever.
He takes my hands and presses my palms to his face and I know I never knew the beauty of feeling human before this. I know I’m still crying when my eyes flutter closed.
I whisper his name.
And he’s breathing harder than I am and suddenly his lips are on my neck and I’m gasping and dying and clutching at his arms and he’s touching me touching me touching me and I’m thunder and lightning and wondering when the hell I’ll be waking up.
Once, twice, a hundred times his lips taste the nape of my neck and I wonder if it’s possible to die of euphoria. He meets my eyes only to cup my face in his hands and I’m blushing through these walls from pleasure and pain and impossibility.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long.” His voice is husky, uneven, deep in my ear.
I’m frozen in anticipation in expectation and I’m so worried he’ll kiss me, so worried he won’t. I’m staring at his lips and I don’t realize how close we are until we’re pulled apart.
3 distinct electronic screeches reverberate around the room and Adam looks past me like he can’t understand where he is for a moment. He blinks. And runs toward an intercom to press the appropriate buttons. I notice he’s still breathing hard.
OPAL by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The kiss started off tentative and smooth. Silky kisses created a yearning that was becoming
all too familiar. The sensation of his lips against mine, the knowledge of what I wanted, sparked
deep inside us and our hearts picked up together, beating heavily and fast. I let myself fall into
that kiss, drown in it, become it. The swelling wave of feelings was hard to process. At once
both exhilarating and frightening. I was ready, had been ready, and yet I knew I was scared,
because like Daemon had said before: humans were afraid of the unknown. And Daemon and I
had been hovering on the verge of the unknown for a while.
He pressed down until I was flat on my back, and he was above me, his weight perfect and
crazy. His hand slid up, bunching the material, his fingers grazing. The touch was too much and
not enough. My chest rose and fell rapidly as his leg moved over mine, between mine. When he
broke away, I gasped for air, for control I was quickly losing.
“I need to stop,” he said roughly, eyes closing tightly, lashes fanning the tips of his cheeks.
“Like, right now.”
I threaded my fingers through the curls at the back of his neck, hoping he didn’t notice how
badly my hand shook. “Yeah, we should.”
He nodded, but then he lowered his head and kissed me again. Good to see he had the
same amount of willpower as I did, which was zilch. My hands slid down his back, digging into
the shirt he wore, finding their way under it, splaying across his warm skin. I curled my leg
around his. We were close, so close that even if our hearts hadn’t beat in tandem before, it
wouldn’t have mattered, because they would’ve found each other and joined now.
Our breaths were coming fast. This was insane. Perfect. His hand crept under my shirt,
moving up and up, and every part of me wanted to press the stop button on the world and then
hit repeat so I could feel this way over and over again.
Daemon stiffened.
“Oh, dear God and baby Jesus in the manger, my eyes!” Dee shrieked. “My eyes!”
FALLEN TOO FAR by Abbi Glines
“Are you… are you going to kiss me again?” I asked breathlessly as he pressed his nose to my
neck and inhaled.
“I want to. I want to so fucking bad but I’m trying to be good,” he murmured against my skin.
“Could you not be good for just one kiss? Please?” I asked, scooting closer to him. I would be in
his lap soon.
“Sweet Blaire, so incredibly sweet,” he said as his lips touched the curve of my neck and
shoulder. If he kept this up I would start begging.
His tongue came out and took a quick swipe at the tender skin on my neck then he trailed kisses
along my jawline until his mouth hovered over mine. I started to plead again but he pressed one soft kiss
to my lips and it stopped me. Then he pulled back but only an inch. His warm breath still bathed my lips.
“Blaire, I’m not a romantic guy. I don’t kiss and cuddle. It’s all about the sex for me. You
deserve someone who kisses and cuddles. Not me. I just fuck, baby. You aren’t meant for someone like
me. I’ve never denied myself something I want. But you’re too sweet. This time I have to tell myself no.”
As his words sunk in I whimpered from the erotic sound of those naughty words rolling off his
tongue. It wasn’t until he stood up and grabbed the doorknob that I realized he was going to walk away from me. Again. Leaving me like this.

Avow (The Archers of Avalon #3) by Chelsea Fine

Avow (The Archers of Avalon #3)

Scarlet remembers. Everything. Her past lives, Tristan, Gabriel, Nate: she remembers it all--including how to get to the Fountain of Youth. But time is running out.

Heather and Gabriel have been kidnapped by Raven, while the curse that has plagued Scarlet and Tristan for centuries has shifted, putting the star-crossed lovers in more danger than ever before. Water from the Fountain of Youth is the only thing that can save Scarlet and her loved ones. But the water comes at a price.

With lives--and hearts--at stake, Scarlet leads her friends on a dangerous journey to the Fountain of Youth. Where eternal life is possible, but death is certain.

Well, this is it the end for one of the best book series I have ever read! and I LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE I WAS READING IT! ♥

What I loved about this last book? well...there's the Scarlet finally having all her memory back at last and being able to finally remember everything about her, Tristan, Gabriel, and Nate. There is also that part where while Heather and Gabriel were captured she still manages to make it fun like really :)) couldn't help but put a laugh at all especially the part where Gabriel acts sarcastic. LOL! :)))

“B-T-W,” Heather said. “What’s with the death wish?”
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about provoking the wicked witch of the west. You look old? Are you trying to get us both killed?”
“She does look old. Or at least, older than she used to.”
“It doesn’t matter! Two things you never comment on when it comes to girls: their age and their weight. That’s male survival 101. Come on!”
oh and not to mention the FLASHBACKS again! :) yes there are awesome flashbacks again! But the really really best parts I like are the Tristan & Sacrlet moments! I mean yes! Finally! she remembers everything! sucks the curse is reversed....but Woohoo!!! Tristan can finally touch Scarlet without hurting her!!! yes! yes! yes! ♥

“I’m so confused.” Nate shook his head. “What’s happening here?” He waved his spoon around at
Tristan. “Why are you whistling and making breakfast? Why are you doing happy person things? This is
very unsettling. ”
Tristan shrugged.
Scarlet said, “He’s happy because his touch no longer hurts me—even though my touch can now
hurt him,” she looked at Tristan before reaching over and taking a bite of his blueberry pancakes. “Could
you try not to be so jolly that our roles are reversed?”
“Nope.” Tristan smiled.
Nate kept blinking.
the other part I really loved as well was when finally Gabriel finally found someone whoohoo!!! :)

They kept hugging and it didn’t feel weird. Gabriel liked how she felt in his arms and how she trusted him to keep her safe.
He liked how she liked him.
It felt real. Maybe it was.
The sad part for me though was when Nate sacrificed himself to save them :( really really sad :(( and here I thought it would be complete happy ending for all of them :( Up from the dirt rose a single, green sprout with a blue tip.

Up from the dirt rose a single, green sprout with a blue tip.
At the end 5 out of 5 Stars for Avow! ♥

Elixir (Covenant #3.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Elixir (Covenant #3.5)

Having the story said in Aiden's point of view has left me feeling sad and sorry for him. Since just when he and Alex are finally together, her awakening separates them again. it's just sad since now all the Apollyon Alex wants is to be by Seth's side. :( Especially when he is forced to do something he knows Alex hates. :(

But then again still love that tiny bit of moment between them towards the end at least :)

Thick lashes fanned her cheeks again and a grin tipped her lips. “I
think I am in love.”
Six words stopped my heart when facing down a horde of daimons
She bit her lip and a faint blush stained her cheeks. “I feel it in
here,” she said, placing her hand against her chest and then against her
stomach, “and here. It’s like there’s not enough air or room inside me.
That I may… burst out of my skin or drown in it, and that wouldn’t be
a bad thing. I don’t know why I feel this way, but I always have… and
will.” She tipped her chin up and her entire face was a rosy color. “It’s
you. I… I love you.”
Heart pounding, I swept her against me in a fierce hug, lifting her
off her feet. Her giggle was smothered but light. I buried my face in her
hair. “I love you, Alex, always you.”

haaa.......what a lovely moment :)

Deity (Covenant #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Deity (Covenant #3)

the first few chapters was pretty cool since finally there are Seth-Alex moments! :) and they seemed so cute together! >///< like really really! but then again that didn't last long. soon troubling things start popping out and wow! Aiden is by Alex's side once again! :))and soon when the truth comes out Aiden confesses what he truly feels for Alex which is great since they could be together at last. :) but that moment again didn't last long. Since again reality comes back and they have to face an upcoming was that is caused by Alex's stepdad and Seth. WHich is sad really,Since Alex still does care for Seth. Not to mention her awakening is near as well.

All in all this book has taken me into a very much emotional ride! :) of Awesomeness!! :))) Nut even thugh I am now even more of a Aiden-Alex team, I still kinda feel sorry for Seth since he couldn't see that what Alex was saying to him is true that Lucien is really just using him. :(

Still Swooning over Taste by Kate Evangelista :) <///3
The heat in his eyes interrupted the rest of what I wanted to say. I gasped. If I'd known he'd get mad, I wouldn't have gone down that road. Demitri closed the gap between us. A static current shot from my nape to my heels. He reached out and rested his hands on the banister, corralling me within the circle of his arms. The moment his lips touched my ear, I shuddered with such force that I thought the ground would crumble below me.
“Demitri, step away from me,” I pleaded.
My mind screamed, yet my heart sang. The intimacy of his body pressed against mine had me wanting to slam my elbow into his gut. But a deeper part of me wanted more. I didn't know what to listen to: my mind or my heart.
“Did he touch you?” he whispered.
I swallowed, confused by his question. “Who?”
“Luka. Did he kiss you?” His growl reminded me of rolling thunder. I hesitated, unsure of how to answer. My control died little by little. The sheer masculinity of him overwhelmed me. I could no longer piece together a reason why I had to stay away from his touch. In answer to his question, I shook my head.
“Good.” His voice turned rough.“Why?” I asked.
“Because,” he paused, his breath hot on my neck, “you belong to me.”
Our lips met, greeting each other with a fierce kiss of welcome, of wanting, of longing. With one hand, I gripped the arm he had around my waist while I lifted the other to his hair, snaking my fingers into the silky strands. His other hand lifted my chin, allowing him to deepen the kiss. When Demitri broke free, I found myself gasping for every breath. My fingers on his arm hurt from holding on so tightly. My heart bounced around in my chest like a pinball. I couldn't quite focus.
“Did I make my point?” he asked. << From a chapter in Taste :)

Pure (Covenant #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Pure (Covenant #2)

Taste by Kate Evangelista

Finally! I feel super happy and satisfied now that I have read this book! :)

Although I must admit at first I thought that it had a bit of similarities from the manga and anime Vampire Knight.  With the Day and Night Students and being in a boarding school as well. Not to mention the pills too. But, the story itself was still different in a way. While reading Taste I was very much excited into seeing what ill happen to Phoenix after the first chapter and her encounter with Dimitri <///3

The Characters:

I feel sad for Phoenix though, having lost your mother with a disease that the doctors were not able to cure is really painful and hard; not to mention that her father had been cold to her as well after that tragic loss is just painful. :(  on another note though as the story progressed I think things for started to be more strange between finding out about the night students (Zhamvy) and her soon being somehow temporarily turned into one. not to mention having a connection with Demitri, the guy who saved her from gettimg kicked out and being a meal of the night students she asked for help.

Dimitri on the other hand is someone who to me at first is a bit controlled. Like someone who always wants things to be in order. But as the story progressed, another side of him appears. Someone who wishes to be free from his duties to his people. he also cares for Phoenix though he doesn't really seem to show it that much at first. my favorite part was when he finally admitted (well sort of) his feelings for Phoenix:

“I am drawn to her, father. Is that not how we find our partners? We answer thecall from deep within us for another.” Happiness underscored my worry. My heart wanted me to run to Demitri‟s side then and confirm what he was saying. I wanted to defend him, to shield him from  persecution. But Yana‟s tight grip kept me in place. I couldn‟t move even if I wanted to.And a small voice inside me warned that if I said anything I might make this experienceworse for Demitri. “But you willingly entered a betrothal with Calixta.” Darius stated.Demitri nodded. “I did it for my people. I believed I would not be fortunate enough to meet the one who could change my world with one glance, one word, one kiss.” He paused. “But I have. I am fortunate. Like you, Father. Like you, Mother.” He looked at the woman beside Darius. Her face softened
Luka!!! <///3 Awesomeness!!!  :)))) somehow at one point in the story I really thought he might actually end up together with Phoenix. Since he's like kind and somehow understanding of her as well! :))Not much to say about Luka really. :(

Fave Luka lines:

“I would make a better match for you,”
"I want her,” Luka continued. “Besides, you can never give her the kind of affection she needs.”
“Why not? When I see you, all I want to do is kiss you.”

Half-Blood (Covenant #1) and Onyx (Lux #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

 Half-Blood (Covenant #1)

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

One word. Finally! Finally I got to read and finish book up! Well, WOW! didn't know what I was thinking not reading this book ASAP! Pure awesomeness!!! Fell in love with the characters here like whoa! so sad about what happened to Alex's mom though :( like really really sad.

Aiden and Alex? or Seth and Alex? hmmm honestly? can't really say since Alex seems to be that kind of leading girls that could stand by themselves even though they don't have anyone to be paired up with. Aiden though in the story gives of that vibe of a best friend or older brother to me, but then again between Aiden and Alex, they are just so sweet together. I mean with all the SWOON SCENES that happened in the book, I think I really am strongly leaning to TEAM AIDEN  >///<. Seth is another story though. He seems like one of those bad boy guys you hate to love but you do. So I am still waiting on how Seth and Alex's relationship would progress with the connection that they have with one another.

5 Start ratings my friend 5 star ratings!!!! :)))

**Only have a short thoughts to share since its been a while since I read this book :((( with all the college stuff going on :(((

Onyx (Lux #2)

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…
at last I finished this book. probably one of the books that took me ages to finish basically because of school stuff (product production) we have going on. but thanks to the sembreak I am able to finish it at last! :)

well what can I say about ONYX is ♥ lots and lots of  ♥!

this second part of the Lux series definitely made me love it more! Like seriously more!! and the Daemon x Katy moments! woohoo!! I felt really sad though when the truth came out, imagine having the people you trust be the ones who were actually betraying you :(( not to mention what happened to dee and adam :((( don't really have much to say but, awesome! :)) so glad Katy and Daemon finally admitted their feelings for one another already! :)   by the end of the book can't really help what happened to Dawson?

Daemon pulled his brother to him, but Dawson… He was just standing there, arms limp against his sides, his face as beautiful as his
brother’s but painfully empty.
“Dawson…?” Uncertainty carried in Daemon’s voice as he pulled back, twisting my insides into raw, nervous little knots that traveled up my
throat, getting stuck and stealing my breath.
As the two brothers stared at each other, with the wind blowing loose flakes of snow on the ground, sending them swirling into the night
sky, I remembered what Daemon had said earlier. He had been right. In that moment, everything did change…for the better and for the
^ seriously what happened hear? :0

anyways! really can't wait for book 3 already! beacuse of all these new realizations in the story! :)  not just because of Katy and Daemon, but the other characters as well; especially Dee! love her! really wish I had a friend like her who'd still want to hang out even though she already has a boyfriend :)

5 Start ratings my friend 5 star ratings!!!! :)))

Ceaseless (Existence Trilogy #3) by Abbi Glines

Ceaseless (Existence Trilogy #3)

So  happy I finally read this book! :)))

Awesome awesome ending to an awesome book :)loved the conclusion of this book series! :)) really really good! so glad Dank and Pagan did end up together :D

At first though I was really confused as to why Pagan didn't really seem to recognize, remember Dank, Gee, and Leif. Good thing though that is was explained :)))As I read the book everything is very much emotional for me from how Dank fought for Pagan to remember him and the love they share before her memories were taken away. From how Dank almost gave up on fighting to be with Pagan. It was really nice to get to see Dank's point of view in the showed a different side of him.

Definitely satisfied with the ending! :)

"You’re mine, Pagan Moore. You will always be mine."

"You own me. Once you knew this. I’m going to make sure you remember."

"I already had to deal with the soul mate. I didn’t want to be forced to see her with anyone else. I was staking my claim."

Right now I am still SWOONING over HALF-BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

“You should tel me to stop.”
I didn’t say a word.
Aiden made a deep sound in his throat. His hand slid up my back, leaving a trail of fire in its wake, and his lips
moved across my cheek, stopping to hover above mine. I forgot how to breathe, and most importantly, how to
He moved, ever so slightly, and his lips brushed across mine once, and then twice. It was such a soft, beautiful
kiss, but when the kiss deepened, it wasn’t a shy one. This was one of dangerously pent-up need, a desire
that’d been denied far too long. The kiss felt fierce, demanding, and soul burning.
Aiden pul ed me to him, pressing me right up against his body. And when he kissed me again, it left both of us
breathless. Our hands tangled with each other’s bodies as we made it back to his bedroom. My hands found
their way under his shirt and over the taut skin of his sides. We separated long enough for me to get the shirt
off, and gods, each hard ripple was as breathtaking as I’d imagined.
Easing me down on his bed, his hands glided from my face to my arms. Next his hand traveled over my
stomach, then my hip, and under the hem of my dress. Somehow, the top of my dress ended up at my waist,
and his mouth moved over my body. I melted into him, his kisses, and his touch. My fingers dug into the tight
skin of his arms, and my insides were in tight coils. Every place our bodies touched, sparks flew.
Aiden pul ed his lips away from mine, and I made a sound of protest, but then his mouth trailed across my
throat and to the base of my neck. My skin burned and my thoughts were on fire. His name was barely a
whisper, but I felt his lips curve against my skin.
His gaze and fingers fol owed some unseen path as he rol ed me on top. “You’re so beautiful. So brave, so ful
of life.” He guided my head down and dropped a sweet kiss against the scar on my neck. “You have no idea,
do you?
You have so much life in you, so much.”
I tipped my head and he kissed the tip of my nose.
“Real y?”
“Yes.” He brushed my hair back from my face. “Since the night I saw you in Georgia, you’ve been under my
skin. You got inside me, became a part of me. I can’t shake it. It’s wrong.” He shifted us, rol ing me across the
bed until he leaned above me. “Agapi mou, I can’t…” He brought his lips down to mine once more.
There were no more words. Our kisses hardened, his lips and hands took on a purpose that could only mean
one thing. I’d never gone this far with a guy before, but I knew I wanted to be with him. There was no doubt,
only certainty.
Everything in my world hinged on this moment.
Aiden lifted his head, staring down at me with that question in his eyes. “Do you trust me?”
I ran my fingers over his cheek, then his parted lips.
He made a deep sound in his throat and caught my hand.
Bringing it to his lips, he pressed a kiss against each fingertip, then my palm and then my lips. -from a chapter in Half-Blood

-A very long swoon! :)))

Ceaseless (Existence Trilogy #3)

He defied Heaven to keep her, he defeated evil to save her, but if her soul wants another... will he be able to let her go?

Can he make her fall in love with him… again?

When Pagan Moore proved worthy of Death’s devotion, he was given the gift of getting to keep her.

But Dank was never promised that Pagan would keep him.

When a soul is created, so is its mate. In every lifetime those souls find each other. They complete the other’s destiny. It’s time for Pagan’s soul to choose if she truly wants an eternity at Death’s side or if she wants the mate created just for her.

Dank didn’t think he had to worry about her choice. He knew where her heart belonged. Until he realized that every kiss, every touch, every moment of their time together would be washed from her memories. He would have to win her heart all over again and prove to her soul that he was where she belonged.

If only her soul’s mate wasn’t right there standing in his way.

Right now I am still SWOONING over ETERNAL STARLING by Angela Corbett.

The only thing that could pull my eyes away from the stunning gift was the feel of Alex’s hand on my cheek, lifting my head. He held my
gaze while he slowly ran his fingers through my hair. I stared at him in amazement. He took my hands and pulled me up, close enough to
embrace me. His eyes burned as he leaned in until I could feel his mouth melt into mine and merge with my lips like we’d each found our
missing puzzle piece. My soulmark flamed to life as our lips parted and the kiss became more urgent. I breathed in his cedar scent, the smell
overtaking me. I ran my fingers over his hard chest while Alex’s hands explored my back. I lost track of time until Alex stepped back, his
hands on my hips. He didn’t move his eyes from mine. “I can’t spend any more time without you, and I’ll be damned if you choose to be with Stone just because he can touch you.” -From a chapter in Eternal Starling

Waiting on Wednesday (5)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating

The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten)

Expected publication: October 23rd 2012

Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he's dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myths and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

My name is Ethan Chase. And I may not live to see my eighteenth birthday.

Right now I am still SWOONING over AWRY by Chelsea Fine. I'm telling you! if you haven't read this book yet....well you have to read it ASAP!!

And then his mouth was on hers like wildfire, spreading with reckless abandon against her lips.
Hot and heavy, he kissed her with five-hundred years of need and Scarlet kissed him back with a want more powerful than she knew she possessed. Their lips grazed against one another, sending a blazing sensation down Scarlet’s body. Like butter melting down every inch of her skin, coating her with warmth and filling her with fire.
Scarlet parted her lips, desperate for more. More heat. More love. More Tristan.
Tristan kissed her without reservation. Passionately. Hungrily. Their tongues gliding in and around the delicate flesh of each other’s mouths.
Scarlet pressed as much of her body as possible against his bare chest and hips, bringing her hands up to his large shoulders where they molded against the muscles that flexed beneath her fingertips.
Tristan wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her against him as his fingers skidded down her back to her hip.
Scarlet buried her hands into his shaggy hair, arching her back to taste more of him, feel more of him as his other hand moved around her body until he was gripping her hips and pulling them closer to his own. Walking her backwards, he pressed her up against the nearest wall and slid his hands beneath her shirt.
His palms molded against her bare hips as his thumbs ran down the sensitive skin of her lower stomach until they were tucked into the waistline of her pants.
Scarlet exhaled in bliss as he kissed his way along her jaw until his warm breath caressed her ear.
Scarlet shivered.
Tristan groaned. - From a chapter of Awry

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness Before Dawn #1)

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness Before Dawn #1)

Only sunlight can save us.

We built the wall to keep them out, to keep us safe. But it also makes us prisoners, trapped in what's left of our ravaged city, fearing nightfall.

After the death of my parents, it's up to me--as the newest delegate for humanity--to bargain with our vampire overlord. I thought I was ready. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the monsters. Then again, nothing could have prepared me for Lord Valentine . . . or his son. Maybe not all vampires are killers. Maybe it's safe to let one in.

Only one thing is certain: Even the wall is not enough. A war is coming and we cannot hide forever.
